Via Income Tax Portal:
Visit the e-filing portal.
Click on "Link Aadhaar Status" from the left side navigation.
Enter PAN & Aadhaar number and click ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’.
If PAN & Aadhaar are linked, a pop-up confirms the linkage. If not, follow the steps to link Aadhaar with PAN.
Via SMS:
Compose the message: UIDPAN<12-digit Aadhaar number><10-digit PAN>.
Send the SMS to either '567678' or '56161'.
Receive a response confirming the linkage status:
Linked: "Aadhaar is associated with PAN (your PAN number) in ITD database."
Not Linked: "Aadhaar is not associated with PAN (your PAN number) in ITD database."
Ensure timely linkage to avoid penalties and ensure compliance.
