GST Filing Deadline Extended for March 2024: What You Need to Know

Recently, the Commissioner, empowered by the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, issued a significant amendment.

The amendment extends the deadline for filing details of outward supplies in FORM GSTR-1 for March 2024.

Registered persons required to file returns under section 39(1) of the Act, except those under a specific proviso, benefit from this extension. The extended deadline for filing is now April 12, 2024.

This amendment came into effect on April 11, 2024. It offers relief to taxpayers, ensuring adequate time for accurate filing amidst various challenges. Taxpayers are advised to adhere to the updated deadline and fulfill their filing obligations promptly.
