The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued Order No. 02/2019-Central Tax.
The order pertains to the extension of the due date for furnishing the statement of details of e-commerce operators in Form GSTR-8.
The due date has been extended from the 31st of January 2019 to the 31st of March 2019.
This extension has been granted to provide more time for e-commerce operators to comply with the requirements of Form GSTR-8.
Form GSTR-8 is a statement of details of supplies made through e-commerce operators and the amount of tax collected on such supplies.
E-commerce operators are required to furnish this statement on a monthly basis.
The extension of the due date for furnishing Form GSTR-8 will provide relief to e-commerce operators who were facing difficulties in complying with the earlier deadline.
