Authenticate Notice/Order on e-Filing Portal

Service Overview: The "Authenticate Notice/Order" service helps verify any notice, order, summons, letter, or correspondence from Income Tax Authorities. This is a pre-login feature, so no login is required. Steps to Authenticate: Visit Portal: Go to the e-Filing portal and click on "Authenticate Notice / Order issued by ITD."

Option Selection: Option 1: Use PAN, Document Type, Assessment Year, Date of Issue, and Mobile Number. Option 2: Use Document Identification Number (DIN) and Mobile Number.

Using Option 1: Enter Details: Select PAN, Document Type, Assessment Year, Date of Issue, and Mobile Number. Click continue. Enter OTP: Receive and enter the OTP for validation. View Result: The document number and date of issue will be displayed. If no notice exists, you'll see "No record found for the given criteria."

Using Option 2: Enter Details: Enter the Document Identification Number and Mobile Number. Click continue. Enter OTP: Receive and enter the OTP for validation. Success Message: A message confirming the authentication will be displayed. By following these steps, you can easily verify the authenticity of any correspondence from the Income Tax Department.
