Open a trading account online on ICICI Direct
You can open a trading account online with ICICI Direct. The transformation of stock markets from an open outcry system to an electronic system has made trading more efficient and accessible. A trading account functions as an investment account that electronically holds your cash or securities, allowing you to buy or sell these securities in the stock market. Stock traders use online trading platforms to trade various instruments such as shares, securities, commodities, and currencies.
For income tax purposes, earnings from activities like Equity Intraday, Equity Futures & Options (F&O), Commodity Trading, and Currency Trading are classified as Business Income.
Steps to open a trading account online on ICICI Direct
- Visit the ICICI website.
Navigate to the website and fill your PAN, Date of Birth and Name on. Click on Next.
- Fill in your details.
Including:
-Email id
-Mobile no.
-Pincode
- OTP Verification.
Enter the OTP that you receive on your registered mobile number. - Set a New Password.
Enter a new password.
- Link your bank account.
If you have an ICICI bank account just enter the account number. Click on Next.
- In case you don’t have an ICICI Bank account. Click on Continue.
Give access of DigiLocker to ICICI direct by logging into your DigiLocker account.
- Complete your DigiLocker Verification.
Press Continue once you finish the verification.
- Upload PAN and photo.
Fill in your personal and financial details. - Next you need to do an In-Person Verification (IPV) on webcam.
E-sign using Aadhaar. After that enter your Aadhaar number. - ICICI Direct Trading Account Login
After 24 hours. you can log in to your account.
