Steps to open a Trading Account online on Upstox

Visit Upstox website
Firstly, click on Open a free Demat account.
Fill your email and phone number
Click on Process.
Fill your PAN number and Birthdate as per PAN
Click on Next.
Select from options given below
You can choose the option as per your requirement.
Check the tickbox
Click on Next.
Select the segments you want to trade-in
Mention coupon code if any or click on Next.
Enter your bank details.
Click on Next.
Upload your digital signature.
You can also submit your income proof (Optional). Click on Next.
Upload Aadhaar document in two parts- front and back
Manually fill the details on the right as per Aadhaar. Click on Next.
Upload your digital PAN copy and Passport size photograph
Click on Next.
Choose a brokerage plan as per your need
Click on Continue.
Esign using Aadhaar Number.
The mobile number has to be linked with Aadhaar. Click on Esign Now.
You will receive an OTP on your mobile number linked with your Aadhaar
Fill the OTP. Click on Submit.
Sign Now
Click on the option to Sign
You will be redirected to the NSDL portal
Fill your Aadhaar number. You will receive an OTP. Fill the OTP. Click on Verify OTP.
Upload your In Person Verification (IPV) video
Click on Next.
After your IPV video is uploaded
Click on Next.
Finally, the process is now complete
You will get the user id and password when your account gets activated.

– Aadhaar offline (keep your PAN card handy)
– DigiLocker (keep your PAN card handy)
– Enter Manually (keep your PAN card, Address proof and a photo ready)
For Enter Manually, you will be required to fill the below details
Click on Continue
Click on Proceed to ESign
After you upload the following documents:
You will be redirected to the NSDL portal
Enter your Aadhaar number linked with your mobile number. Check the tick box. Click on Send OTP.
You will receive an OTP on your registered number
Fill the OTP. Click on Verify OTP.
An In Person Verification video proof will be required
Record a 10 seconds video. Click on Proceed. (You can also click on Send a mobile link and record the video from your mobile phone.)
You will receive a POA document on your email
Finally, you are required to submit that document by either couriering your self or scheduling a pick up on your convenient location.
The application is now successfully submitted
