Every taxpayer in India is assigned a Jurisdictional Assessing Officer (AO) based on their residential address and income level. This system ensures that tax assessments are carried out efficiently and smoothly. All communications between the Income Tax Department (ITD) and the taxpayer, whether initiated by the ITD or the taxpayer, are conducted through the jurisdictional AO.

Steps to Search the Details of the AO on UTIITSL

  1. Visit the UTIITSL Portal
    Click on the For PAN Cards > Search for AO Code Details option from the dashboard of the UTIITSL portal homepage.

    Click on the option shown as below.
